Journey to the magical world of Hans Christian Anderson as the award-winning Children's Theatre of Minneapolis presents its unique dramatic interpretation of "The Red Shoes." Young Karen is feigning illness to avoid doing her schoolwork. Her mother summons Hans Christian Anderson to tell Karen stories. Anderson decides to teach Karen a valuable lesson and tells her about "The Red Shoes" and the high price of selfishness. As the tale unfolds, Karen travels to an enchanted land filled with singing, dancing and a host of imaginary characters. It's a fantasy brought to life that carries an important message for children of all ages.
